Where is the information collected from?
The data is backed by Experian’s market-leading ConsumerView Database. The database is fully compliant and compiled from a number of reliable and legitimate sources. These include the commercially available Electoral Roll, lifestyle data, directors at home, shareholder data and significant data contributions from partner organisations where individuals have not opted out of third-party marketing activity.
How up to date is the data?
The Prospect Download Database is completely rebuilt every month with fresh and updated data.
Searches and counts
How do I get list counts?
You can carry out free counts on your selections from the Prospect Download Consumer database. You will need to register, which is free of charge and your details will be protected under our policy. Then log in to carry out your searches, based on a wide range of selection criteria.
Will my information be passed on to third parties?
No, the registration information you provide will not be passed on to any third parties or entered into any of our lists.
Please note that as part of our compliance approval process the details of your campaign and intended marketing material will be shared confidentially with our data list supplier Experian.
Your details may be used by Selectabase to update you on offers and products which may be of interest by email or mail, and you will always be given an opportunity to opt-out of receiving such updates.

Why has my previous count changed?
The Prospect Download Consumer database is updated on a regular basis. Therefore, a saved search profile may now have different quantities available. If you order a previously saved search you will automatically be presented with the latest data audience.
Can I save my searches?
Yes, when you’ve finished choosing your selection criteria on the Build Your List page click on Save Search before or after you carry out a count. You can give your saved search selection your own unique name to identify it in the future.
Ordering and downloading
What does it cost?
It will depend on the quantity you wish to order, and the output fields you would like to include. The cost is clearly given when you run a count for your list criteria. Simply complete the short form above and get started.
What data will I receive?
We have restrictions on the release of the actual database list. Selectabase offer a full mailing house print and post service which allows you to select your audience and ask us to send your mailer for you, using Create & Post.
We ustilise the following fields for the mailing:

If I order more than once will I get the same data audience?
No, when you are building a list just use the ‘Previous Orders to Exclude’ option to change these settings. You can choose to exclude or not exclude previous orders from your count. You can also upload your own lists and exclude these from your new list.
How much data can I order?
There is a limit of 50,000 records per order with Prospect Download. If you require larger volumes please contact us on 01304 383838.
Can I just order a limited number of prospects to fit my budget?
Yes, when you have done a count you can choose to order a smaller amount from the results shown and your order value will be recalculated automatically. This order can then be excluded from previous orders from the same search.
How do I pay for my list?
Payment for all lists is required in advance and can be made securely online using a credit or debit card. Please ensure you enter the correct address details associated with your card, so that your order passes our stringent fraud prevention measures. If you wish to pay offline by bank transfer for example, please speak with a member of our team.
Compliance approval - How long will it take to process my data audience?
Each data order takes only a few minutes to process and extract. However we do advise to allow approximately 1 working day to allow for a number of compliance and verification checks to be carried out by Selectabase and Experian prior to the authorisation of consumer data orders. Part of these checks includes:
– Confirmation of your industry (business type or activity)
– If you are a Financial Services provider you are regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA)
– You are registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) as a data controller and therefore fit to handle consumer data
– A review of your selection criteria
– Details of the promotion planned and a copy of the actual marketing material you intend to use
If these checks have already been completed then your data order will be processed straight away.
Once your order is approved by Selectabase (and in some cases Experian) you will be sent a notification email.
PLEASE NOTE: In certain circumstances your data order may not be approved. In these cases we will notify you immediately, your order will be cancelled and a full refund completed via our payment provider within 1 working day (we are unable to confirm when funds will appear within your account as this is beyond our control and will depend on your bank and card provider, however we usually find this can take between 3-5 working days).

What can I do with my list?

You can use your downloaded list to carry out marketing, market research, mail order or a promotional campaign for your business, as address details are provided as standard. The list can only be used in accordance with our standard terms and conditions which you must agree to before ordering.
How often can I market to my list?
When you order your list you will be given the option to select single usage within 3 months, or multiple usage within 12 months.
To be compliant under GDPR, it is absolutely key to keep data fresh and up to date. Every month Prospect Download is updated with a fresh new feed of data. Therefore prior to re-using data that has a multiple use license, the latest list from Prospect Download must be used. Only records that are still valid to contact will be present within your list.
